| Once a mule ~ To write like steak with sauté potatoes, lightest sorbet from fresh mango ~ Carrots Julienne, asparagus tips, instead I write like fish and chips! To dip a quill into velvet ink, look over yonder lake and think. Instead I have a plastic pen and sit with laptop in my den! To write with eloquence and grace, demurely sat by fireplace. I write whatever’s in my head, from ‘garden frost’ to ‘my fish is dead’. One day though I’ll write a jewel And be a thoroughbred instead of a mule! Copyright 2010KDP | |

| Dear Isobelle; I like the wit and humor in 'Once a Mule'. Sometimes we get a little too serious with our writing and forget to enjoy the experience. I have the greatest respect for those who pour heart and soul into every piece, but sometimes I think we all need to lighten up. Your poem was fun to read and I suspect that it describes more of us than care to admit it. fp | |

| LMAO.......I can fully understand this piece. This is great tongue in cheek humour of the self depracating kind, and I loved it. Drawing the contrasting natures of those giants of the poet world, to us mere mortals....clever and witty. Have yourself an exalt. | |

Had We But Worlds Enough, And Time . . . | November 5th 2013, 11:57 am by Jamie | I never wanted to write this post. Life, however, brings to us changes of necessity, not changes we want.
Unfortunately, and as evidenced by the past few months' activities, I do not have the time to properly govern the use of this site anymore. While there are visitors every day, the posts by members are becoming fewer and farther between, and the staff participation is just as sparse.
