I'm so broke I can't even pay attention
I'm the guest speaker in the "I got no money convention"
My checking accounts so blank
The teller at the bank
Said: "boy, you need to find some financial intervention.."

Oh I'm so broke my wallet claims abuse
Said it's been years since it's seen any real use
I'm really not exaggerating
But my creditors are tired of waiting
I've got the "I'm so broke please give me some money blues"


Please Mr. Banker, I could sure use a loan
Show a little compassion, toss me a bone
Write it off as charity, charity begins at home
Oh Please Mr. Banker, don't take everything I own..



I'm so broke I can't even afford a shopping cart
I'd tell you about it but it would only break your heart
There are people worse off then me
But even they agree
That I'm so broke I'm liable to fall apart...

I'm so broke last week I made the news
When the poorest guy in the world gave me his shoes
Then he tried taking off his shirt
But I think he was just a pervert
I got the "I'm so broke please give me some money blues.."

Ha aint that the truth, I'm so broke we use the same tea bag all week.
We carry the same light bulb from room to room, and I use a syringe to refill my biro with squid ink (Oh but how its stinks).
The final humiliation is we are thinking of having one of Dannys (my jack Russel terrier) legs removed. Apparently three legged dogs are brilliant for squeezing money out of the public. A little sign round his neck,"Help me buy a prosthetic limb" and the money just rolls in. Also the limb makes a novel back scracher.

Alternativly just the threat of cutting it off might bring in some cash?

love your reply to this my friend, where were you when I was writing it however? I could have used a couple of those comments in this..

speaking of using your comments.. I did "borrow" your comment about going from room to room with the lightbulb today at work and everyone laughed however one person asked me "so how do you see to screw it in?"

regardless, thanks for your reply and perhaps, if there is time and someone offers me money (or cookies) I might even read this Saturday.. but I want mostly for everyone else to read their stuff first.
