Good morning class
You’re here to learn today
On how to write in the modern way
So violets are blue and roses are redder
Will be deposed of in the plastic shredder
~
Poetry is art, there’s no bad or good
It doesn’t require to be understood
So mix up your images, unique and sublime
No need to be clear, explicit or rhyme
~
Throw all the adjectives high in the air
Now close your eyes and pick a few pair
’My pregnant tongue rests
where moon sheep are grazing’
Wow! That’s a goodie, it’s simply amazing
~
Explain your emotions, a great idea
Delve deep in your soul, exhibit your fear
What dark secret are you’re willing to share
We all want to know what’s lurking in there
~
The only rule, the one condition
is never to write for recognition
Don’t dare to dally with riches or fame
The honest poet never writes for gain
and our prose is for those
On a far higher plain
