| An Anaconda Called Wanda. Jimmy had an Anaconda they really were such friends Through the streets they’d often wander, true friendship never ends. Wanda was the reptile’s name, thirty feet, almost five hundred pounds She never bit and was so tame their friendship knew no bounds. They used to bath together In Jim’s mum’s massive hot tub It seemed to take forever giving Wanda’s back a scrub. The pair would listen every night to stories from Jim’s mummy Wanda loved “The Jungle Book”, as she curled round Jimmy’s tummy. Through the streets young Jim would run, Wanda slithered with by his side People thought it was such fun to see old Wanda slide Crossing roads however was somewhat problematic Her length took time to get across causing chaos with the traffic. But best of all was playing in their local park Swinging in the tree tops it was a proper lark Coiled in Wanda’s tail Jim would hurtle through the trees A task that she accomplished with acrobatic ease. ~ The local paper featured them; Jim’s uncle was the Editor The headline? “Snake eats little boy, do NOT befriend a predator”. | I remember, many years ago, a popular song called "Sneaky Snake" and reading this poem reminded me of that.. this poem also may explain why I don't hang out with snakes or people who sell used cars..
enjoyed much, take care.

| Reminded me of the song
"Oh you never smile at a crocodile Never tip your hat or stop to talk awhile. Don't be taken in by his crooked grin. He's only wondering how well you'd fit within his skin" | |

Had We But Worlds Enough, And Time . . . | November 5th 2013, 11:57 am by Jamie | I never wanted to write this post. Life, however, brings to us changes of necessity, not changes we want.
Unfortunately, and as evidenced by the past few months' activities, I do not have the time to properly govern the use of this site anymore. While there are visitors every day, the posts by members are becoming fewer and farther between, and the staff participation is just as sparse.
