Unfortunately rather black humour, as a diabetic I am always at risk of eventualy losing my feet or going blind (retinopathy) i am on a forum for diabetics and to a large extent they tend to mask their concerns with humour .I wrote this to cheer em up lol.

Two Feet In The Grave (A diabetics lament)

I lost my feet some years ago
They are buried n’eath a tree
I visit them on Sundays
When sometimes they speak to me.

We’re cold and lonely in this hole
And frankly we blame you
You ate that bloody cherry cake
Not one slice but two!

I know, I know, I say to them
Believe me without you I am lost
Being footless is no fun
(Except for lower podiatry costs)

Yes well it’s too late now
You cocky little git
Thought you knew it all back then
But it’s us that’s in this pit.

I walked away (well hobbled)
A new determined me
To take steps (oh the irony) to remain cakeless
Thus avoiding retinopathy.

Brilliant humor, Dr. Fogg! Glad to see your time away hasn't affected your funny bone. Smile *exalt*

Now we know the funny bone does not reside below the ankles anyway.

Very morbidly funny write.

It's funnier that you wrote, with the feet speaking back to you, Foggy. Though the topic is interesting, with humour galore, your rhythm and rhyme make it near impossible to stop reading. Thanks for the intro info: I hope they laughed themselves silly. Take care of you (no more cake), H x
