First topic message reminder :

I'm sure there will be a ton so let's start by asking them in this thread and I'll reply as soon as I can. This will also help us develop our new FAQ's for the site.

Okay, I can't find it but I know it's out there.....how do I nominate a piece for poem of the week?

I may not have specified the method here at the new site (have to fix that):

Just please PM the nomination to ApocalypticJay, Isobelle, Daniel, Harklight, or Me.

Click the "New Topic" button on the left side of the screen (top or bottom). You can even start a new thread in a board (take Humor, for example) from inside another thread in that board!!

There are several "help" topics located in the upper right-hand side of the screen in the sidebox that should help out new folks. Smile But don't hesitate to PM me if you have questions. Smile

Is there any way we can click to see the 50 most recent posts like they have on TPS?

Only if I set the "Latest Topics" widget to scrolling, which caused complaints. Let me see what it looks like if I set it to hold 50 instead of 10, as currently set.

You won't find any yet, Bill. They are new awards as BARD's choices. The first hasn't been awarded. These won't essentially be given on specific days or even, months. *whistles ... Though a little bird told me the first is not far away. H x

I don't logout ever unless I have to; or, and this is a big "or", if I'm posting replies and they're not showing up I logout and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, I log back in, go to the bottom of the front page and click "Delete Forum Cookies" and then log back in and it makes the replies I had posted show up for me.

Log out as you wish, sir. Smile

Me again, In the portal there is a bar chart of top posters, some of the red lines have a tiny white stripe near the end, some do not! why is this? Oh to be plagued by an inquiring mind.

It's probably just a difference in the browser you're using. I believe you use AOL Bill?

Ive just logged on using internet explorer and the lines have vanished, this is a very wonderful thing.

I'm stumped. I use IE8 (or 6, depending) and don't see a white stripe anywhere. . .

Oh, I'm sorry, BIll. You've only asked me about 50 times and with no net at home I've been forgetting.

Did Annie post that poem anywhere else, btw? I'd hate for her to lose it as I laughed my rump off.

hey,

I think I posted it in Humor. But I don't recall getting a big response.

I do have it. I took it to the poetry club meeting. They loved it.

If you go into the thread itself you don't see a green Delete button?

No. You should see a "Delete" button in your own posts, including when you make a new thread in the Member Challenge board. I have checked the settings and they show as correct.
