First topic message reminder :

I'm sure there will be a ton so let's start by asking them in this thread and I'll reply as soon as I can. This will also help us develop our new FAQ's for the site.

Well, it used to be just a little X but I obtained new buttons.

Me, tinkering? Perish the thought. lmao

You should see that Delete button in any thread of yours anywhere. If you don't, let me know which board so I can check the settings. People should be able to delete their own posts.

Oh, and I'm going to be putting a badge in your profile, Bill, for my Wicked Children Challenge. There'll be a Badge announcement/explanation soon.

Thanks Jamie,

Try again, Bill. I don't see it anywhere and I don't have the pictures set for "approval by moderator"--they're automatically approved. I know it works because Cinda has done it.

gosh Bill.. I seem to remember a simular problem you had on TPS posting funny poems in humor and they wound up dissapearing.. I believe the official explanation was "they were not funny enough.." do you think maybe the same..

nah... couldn't be..

Ok, I found where I had to approve them. Two of them are okay but I don't think that one with the queen belongs here. Sorry. I guess I was mistaken about the approving thingy.

Still learning. Good news is I have my net back at home now. Woot! (whatever that means)

PostSubject: Re: Got Questions?   April 30th 2010, 9:06 pm

question..
where are the former winners of the weekly featured poem's archived?

answer..
the weekly featured poem stays in the forums they were posted in.. When they win, people are linked to their poems..

SO...
would it be a good idea to create ONE thread, with their titles on it that links people to those poems? (similar to the winners list at the top 5 voting at TPS)

WHY?...
goofy ole me was on the home page, and without thinking I clicked onto the little sign that says WFP thinking it would take me right too the poems.. I know, foolish me, they never have.. but it made me wonder if there was a way it could??

In our profile there is a section for "Latest poem" as there doesnt appear to be any editing facilities how to I create a link and change the colour?

regarding the Gallery, there is a section for funny picture where I have uploaded 2 pictures. What is the intention here as we already have a place for funny pics in the fun thread? Other users might be interested to know that in the gallery you can upload pictures direct from your own pc without using a host site.

Hey Doc you can actually change the colour like you would in a poem by just putting then [/ color] like that!

Take the red pill, stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.
 • a·poc·a·lyp·tic /əˌpäkəˈliptik/ Adjective:
 • .Describing or prophesying the complete destruction of the world.
 • .Resembling the end of the world; momentous or catastrophic.
Please comment on at least two pieces of original poetry that are not your own before posting a poem. Thank you.

Hi Bill,
You don't need create a new link. Just copy and paste your most recent poem's url in the profile space. When you already have one there, highlight it and delete before you paste the new one. Click "Save". It automatically appears under your name and avatar. You can format colour or font (preferably not too big) as Jay suggests.
Gallery images are useful for other people's avatars: not all funny pics are suitable. Our new FAQ (done asap) will cover image uploads. H x

Regarding the gallery uploads its late here I dont understand what you mean by "Gallery images are useful for other people's avatars"?

Their advantage is as clickable links, Bill. This code goes to one of mine.
Heroism Dies
You won't see the code here but it's same as below - without spaces in the coding part. You can have spaces between words in your poem's title, and if you choose a colour like "dark blue".

Poem's title & colour
If you don't get it, click Quote as though you're quoting this post and, if still not, let me know and I'll PM it to you.

The site's in-built image gallery (like for avatars) is available to everyone. Personal galleries, like yours, need Admin approval and have a limit of 25 images (you currently have 11, including fun ones). Funnie's, on site, use the site's image allowance and are not available for members to use without a personal gallery. I hope that clears it up. H x

Perhaps not the right place for this but has anyone any knowledge about Stacy? Things must be bad if she isnt coming online and her name doesnt even seem to be on the members list.

Chalk up a new Foggy achievement! I wasn't implying you're an idiot. Some people never get it: I'm very glad you did your own. Yay!

Stacy last contacted us when she joined this Poet Share, April 1, but hasn't post anything. Though a member here (P2), she's active on other internet sites. I believe she's okay but, f you're concerned, she'd probably appreciate an email or (TPS) PM - they're most likely to reach her. H x

PostSubject: Re: Got Questions?   May 4th 2010, 3:31 am

I've looked through the pages in this thread but couldn't see the answer I am looking for so if I have missed it somewhere... I apologise

Question: Is there anyway to hide my location in the google map feature of who is online? I suspect I will have to tick the box that says hide when I am online, but is there any way of hiding where I am online?
I'd like people to know I'm here, just not necessarily 'where' here... I hope that makes sense??

Thanks
