| Ohaii thar.
I'm Azure. I figured I needed to introduce myself to y'all and maybe make some new friends in the process, so why not kill two birds with one stone with an intro thread? That's such a strange saying >.>...*ahem* Anyways, as you can see, I can ramble a bit if I'm not careful.
I've been told that I can be rather eccentric before. Yeah, maybe I prefer text emotes to animated emoticons. Maybe I have a habit of spelling words wrong and using incorrect grammatical syntax intentionally. Maybe I even have an unhealthy obsession with Pizza Rolls. I'm still a normal person. Mostly. :3
Like most young adults and older teens, I love music. Unlike the aforementioned, I love all kinds of music except for screamo and heavy metal. Country? Love. Hip-hop? Love. R&B? Love. Classical? Love. Alternative? Love. I tend to enjoy softer music moreso than harder music, buh it's all good.
As for my aesthetic tastes, I love all shades of blue and purple. Silver is also an intriguing color; though I'm less than impressed by gold. My sense of 'style' is pretty much nonexistent; I wear paint-stained cut-offs and a random, plain t-shirt most of the time. I have this thing against wearing labels and brands. I'm not a walking billboard or advertisement, thank you very much. u.u
Food-wise, I'm surprised I'm not overweight, considering my rather wide tastes. I love most microwaveable foods, my favorites of which being Hot Pockets. As for oven foods, Pizza Rolls, those freezer pizzas, and moar Pizza Rolls all hit my Top Ten list. Twinkies tip the balance even more towards the unhealthy side. Luckily, I was graced with a rather high metabolism and parents that enforce a healthy diet, so all of my favorite foods are reduced to once a month indulgences.
My favorite animal at the moment would be the White Siberian Tiger, though in the past this preference has ranged everywhere from the common North American shrew to the endangered West Indian manatee.
As far as hobbies go, I enjoy walking through the nearby woods, painting, drawing, writing, reading, surfing the web, managing my multitude of projects and sites,a nd spending every waking minute with my soulmate. I /would/ enjoy long walks on the beach, but unfortunately none are available seeing as I'm stuck right smack in the middle of the fine US of A. That happens to be trillions of dollars in debt. Funny how things like that work out; parents lecture children about responsible spending of allowances and such. Government taxes the crap outta the fine upstanding citizens of the United States. Government spends said tax money on useless crap like studying cow farts. No, seriously. I'd link to the report but I can't post links for 7 days. *sadface*
Anddd there's another example of me rambling. Sorry 'bout that. Buh yes, that's pretty much all there is to know about me. If you wanna chat, feel free to drop me a PM or VM or something, I'm always available.

| Thank you for the welcome, Jamie. I agree wholeheartedly about the Pizza Rolls, but I've been told they're rather unhealthy. Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, if you ask me. u.u |

| I like the combo. pizza rolls, but just barely as I'm NOT a fan of pepperoni.. The hamburger ones are not bad at all but I believe last time I bought them I forgot I had them and they went bad (yes, they were frozen but there is a limit, even frozen, past the expriation date we should keep in mind..)
"kill two birds with one stone".. such a cruel saying that I didn't take seriously till I wound up having birds as pets.. It's like saying "I like cats, they are yummy.." however our language is full of sayings that we don't honestly mean when we use them..
I'm a fan of music as well, I'm kinda into little known groups that develop fan followings after being together for years.. One group I follow (I'll guarentee no one has heard about) has been together since the 1970's and they play everything from kids music (which they have won awards for) to adult music with a heavy accoustic guitar feel.. I am not fond of any music however that doesn't censor itself.. which is why I stay away from rap and thrash metal.. I understand the need to write "street" but since when does glorifying killing people and abusing people "street"..
I've never really paid much attention to my clothes, if they have brand names or not.. I grew up being given "hand-me-downs" from older kids in the neighborhood so now that I can afford to buy myself clothes, all that matters is if I like it or not..
It was really cool to read your bio. You know who you are and what you like which is a good thing as many people today don't..
Take care,
~ Daniel

| Thanks, Daniel. :3
Yeah, there was an experiment done that also proved Twinkies do, in fact, go bad. Sorta. They solidify into this concrete-like substance that shatters upon being hit with a hammer. o.0
That saying /is/ cruel, though I didn't particularly notice it 'til you pointed it out. I figure it's a reference form when/if people ever had to throw stones at birds to get them the heck away from their crops? Like crows or something. And I imagine when you're dependent on that food for living, killing two birds that were eating your food with one stone is something to celebrate. Sorta.
Ah, I like the lesser known groups, too. And same about the rap and thrash metal in general. I do, however, listen to Christian rap. It's generally cleaner while still maintaining that unique style that rap has; that makes it half poetry and half music. Admittedly spoken rather forcefully as opposed to being whispered.
Thank you so much for comments, I was beginning to worry this forum was dead or something! u.u |

| Changing layouts | Thu 15 Mar 2012 - 18:49 by Jamie | Hi everyone,
We're getting rid of our Portal Page and changing the layout a bit to include everything on one main page. I hope you like the changes. It should make the site a bit easier to navigate.
There are still a few tweaks to be made to the appearance of the new slide feature above, but we think it will help visibility of different parts of the site.
