| S A N T A P L E A S E B E L I E V E M ESanta please believe me, take me off the naughty list I didn't mean to kick Tommy, trust me, I wish I had missed.. I'll be a good boy till Christmas, I promise, just like you and Mommy insist Ooh Santa please believe me, take me off the naughty list.. I admit it was my fault the cat lost it's hair Although Billy urged me to do it, on a double dare And it was me who broke both the legs on the chair Yet to punish me at Christmas.. just seems so unfair Santa please believe me,, I'm on the straight and narrow path No more cheating off Billy whom I sit next to in math I'll even stop drowning my sisters dolls in my bubble bath, Ooh Santa, you gotta believe me, I'm on the straight and narrow path.. I've turned over a new leaf, the household chores I will assist And to help me remember Ill put this rubber band around my wrist And the cookies Mommy leaves for you.. well, I'll try to resist.. If only Santa, you will believe me, take me off the naughty list.. ( If only till after Christmas..) © 2010 | |

| lol, Daniel. It's easy to imagine letters, just like this, being addressed to the North Pole every year. The boyish spirit comes through quite well. I especially like the little confessions. Be good. H x | |

| Haha! This gave me a chuckle, having grown up without the Santa Claus myth. This piece gives me some insight as to how some of my friends may have been thinking as Christmas grew nearer during our childhoods. Thanks for the read and the laugh, my friend. A pleasure as always. | |

Had We But Worlds Enough, And Time . . . | November 5th 2013, 11:57 am by Jamie | I never wanted to write this post. Life, however, brings to us changes of necessity, not changes we want.
