| Once you click " New Topic" anywhere in the forums, the "Post a new topic" posting form opens. There are several new options available to you here, such as the "Host an image" button, the flash button, and the "Others" button which contains the different commands for scrolling Neat, huh? Now, if you have an image url that you want to use, just click the "Image" button to insert the image. If you have an image on your computer that's not hosted online, use the "host an image" button instead to upload directly to the site. Whereas the old forums only allowed Youtube as Proboards basic video source, here you can use Dailymotion as well as Youtube (Not sure yet if others will work as well). You can also Colorize your thread titles as well as put a description beneath them that will show up on the main board!! If you preview your post, colorize the title before you click "send," as the preview function does not show the title and resets the Title color to the default. To colorize a thread title, use the dropdown next to the Subject line that says "None (use implicit)" as it's default setting. To colorize within your post, use the colored dots button below the dropdown, between the "AA" (which is Text Size) and "A" (which is Font) buttons. Click a button once to turn it on, another time to turn it off. Also please note that there are many, many more smilies to choose from right at your fingertips. Currently there are only a few on page 2 of the smilies (use the dropdown) but I will be importing all of the smilies from the old site into page 2. WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)--there are two ways to compose your posts--in the normal editor, which accepts both HTML and BBCode, or with the WYSIWYG editor, which turns on by clicking the button. Make sure you are in the editor you wish to use. Please feel free to leave any questions about posting issues as replies to this thread. J-

Had We But Worlds Enough, And Time . . . | November 5th 2013, 11:57 am by Jamie | I never wanted to write this post. Life, however, brings to us changes of necessity, not changes we want.
Unfortunately, and as evidenced by the past few months' activities, I do not have the time to properly govern the use of this site anymore. While there are visitors every day, the posts by members are becoming fewer and farther between, and the staff participation is just as sparse.
